Did anyone other than me attend this? There were some great resources there. On the other hand, it was more of the same. There were maps of the layout in the Civic Center, and one section included Employment in the listing, however, there were no employers there. If you are a drug or alcohol addict, or mentally ill, or a veteran, or disabled, there's plenty of help for you. If you're just an out of work regular guy like me, you get a bowl of soup and some used clothes to go through.
As an interesting sidenote, a homeless lady asking me for change just one block away wasn't even aware of the event. After I told her all about it, she said she would just skip it. I wonder how effective these types of events are at actually helping the homeless. I realize they are quite effective at giving the public the image that much is being done to help the homeless in San Diego.
What do you think?

...Once , up here in Santa Cruz , I went to one...Less than a week later I was arrested , sent to jail what became 3ish weeks , and my stuff bag thrown out (Including some nice old " comic book paperback novels " of the The Executioner/Punisher type that I'd picked up at the PHC) by the asshole cop who arrested me (See the " Time For Tickets " thread , in Criminalizing Homelessness , by a variation of my name , though it's incomplete .) .
