A story in the Santa Cruz Sentinel yesterday bylined to Stephen Baxter concerned meals offered to homeless in Watsonville , CA in the wake of a recent murder of a homeless man in a park , about an hour from where I am in Santa Cruz , California , in the same county , Santa Cruz County . It's overly hard for me to put up a link , but enter the byline and " Homeless " " meal " " Watsonville " " homicide " and you should get it . Here in the city of Santa Cruz , a local Episcopal , Calvary Episcopal , or " The Red Church " , downtown , offers a supper at about 6:00 in the afternoon Mondays , after a prayer meeting/Bible group at 5 . They don't force you to go to the group to get the supper :-) ! I have been going regularly (Tending , unfortunately , to get there a little late :-() to the prayer group myself recently .
