An ABC TV station called KRCR has at least two stories up involving a Taco Bell where , when the manager found a homeless man sleeping in a dumpster there , he had the dumpster locked from the outside , keeping our brother inside there for two (or more) hours. Luckily , a good high school student came along and worked things so that the homeless man was let out :-) . The TB manager lied his ass off afterward saying that he didn't lock the man inside the dumpster ! It appears to have worked out well for the bro anyway ! :-) I can't really put up a link now (I'm saying) ~ I gave you the station's name and affiliation , and the station's on FB too .

At times, I am so speechless when I hear about the things that people do to each other. I often wonder how these people were treated while they were growing up. What made them want to be so cruel to others unlike themselves. Are they afraid? Are they uneducated? Are they confused? What is it that makes them think it is their right to degrade another human being?
Being homeless is not a disease, and it is not contagious. People often disregard the homeless population because they are afraid if they confront the situation, and acknowledge it, that it will suddenly make the issue more "real". People often act like if they just close their eyes to the matter, then it won't exist anymore. But what these homeless individuals really need is an open hand, support, and someone to give them a chance.
It may only take just one person to take a chance on them, and that could be the new beginning that they need to help them climb out from situation they are in.
What many don't understand, is that we are all just a decision or two away from homelessness ourselves. Many homeless individuals are in that situation because their job downsized, their spouse left them, or simply because their personal information fell into the wrong hands. Point being, if we don't help someone who is in need of it, then who do we expect to help us when WE need it?
It all goes back to the old familiar verse of: "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you"...
