Like it says I had a shelter bed lined up for tonight but,at the office I was supposed to wait at past their closing time "til' the shift changes" for the van that was supposed to take me to the shelter,it didn't show up. After forty-five minutes I left. I was supposed to check in with the agency tomorrow,I will, maybe they'll start it again then,Iwas supposed to have a bed for a week I have a diabetically wounded/infected foot

For whatever reason, you were overlooked. Remember, the squeaky wheel gets the grease. Never be rude, but be persistent, and make sure people remember you are there and waiting on services. Waiting on homeless services is often like being in a waiting room in a doctors office.

Thank you :-). I did get it last nite,I am in San Francisco not San Diego BTW(though I have been-homeless-in SD),MSC South was/is the shelter,I am there for a week now! I can be sort of non-assertive/" fade-into-the-background"/overly (surface) polite at times,I guess-I am DX'd Aspergers'/HFA-in this century as an adult-like you BTW. A lot of guys in the dorm I was in had laptops of (perhaps more common) smartphones out (not-:-(-I,alas),many plugged in there was even one designated number-of-plugs Charging Station which I saw! I have often thought that perhaps folks in the 2&1/2 "Northwestern" Coastal states are rather more Internet/'puters-obsessed than folks-even "us bums ":-)?-in the other 47&1/2.
